Passionate about fostering growth and development, I am committed to empowering young learners through culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices.
With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, I bring a wealth of expertise to my role as Assistant Director. Previously, I served as a Director for a large corporate franchise, where I honed my leadership skills. However, my passion for fostering a nurturing, family-oriented environment led me to a smaller preschool setting that aligns with my core values. Originally from Vermont, I began my journey working with children in high school and continued to pursue this calling after relocating to Florida. My dedication, clear vision, and unwavering commitment to the growth and well-being of children and families drive me to create meaningful experiences every day.

As a Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) teacher, I am passionate about preparing young minds for the transition to kindergarten. Having moved to the United States, I chose a fulfilling career in childcare, where I have gained three years of teaching experience. I find great satisfaction in helping children develop foundational skills and confidence, creating a nurturing space where they can thrive and grow.
I am the Owner and Director of Cornerstone Preschool. I was born in India and moved to Florida in 2002. I am happily married with 2 beautiful children. I have worked in childcare for over 17 years and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce. I love coming to work each morning to greet my wonderful staff, great parents, and amazing children!

As a proud mother of two and a devoted wife, I bring a deep understanding of family dynamics to my teaching, fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere for every child.
OUR STAFF
As an accredited, Gold Seal preschool, all lead teachers must have a CDA (Child Development Associate) certificate or a college degree with
coursework in early childhood.
In addition, all staff must complete a minimum of 24 hours of annual in-service training, pass local, state, and FBI background checks (Level II Screening), and maintain current pediatric CPR and first aid certificates!
As a newcomer to the field of early childhood education, I, Sophia, am thrilled to embark on this rewarding journey. I am captivated by the challenges and joys of working with young children and am eager to contribute to their growth and development. With a fresh perspective and boundless enthusiasm, I look forward to creating meaningful experiences and discovering the endless possibilities that lie ahead in my childcare career.
