During storms and emergency situations, we monitor the news closely and follow the instructions of local and state agencies.

Please call the school to listen to our recorded message and check our website for information and instructions during the day when storm warnings or other emergencies are announced.

Cornerstone will close when public schools or county offices are closed due to storm warnings and other emergencies (unless public schools are only closed to be used as shelters).

If we need to close the school for an emergency, it will be announced on our recorded telephone message as soon as the decision has been made, and we will post it on our website (unless we lose internet access).

If the weather takes a turn for the worse during the school day and we need to close early, we will update our recorded telephone message and begin calling parents.  It is unlikely that we would be checking or sending email in the event of an emergency, so we ask that parents call us and listen to our recorded message. We will also update our website unless there is an internet outage.
